A new video released by the Maine Freedom to Marry Coalition called “Respect and Fairness: The Heart of Who We Are in Maine” presents parents and educators talking about the importance of marriage equality in Maine.  Superintendent Paul Knowles says of families led by gay and lesbian parents, “…We welcome them into our schools and make them, as much as any other family, feel welcome and their children welcome. Our job is to make (children) feel respected and appreciated.”
