28 Apr 2009On April 28, The Exception Magazine, remarked on the Maine Legislature’s Judiciary Committees “ought to pass” vote for LD 1020, An Act To End Discrimination in Civil Marriage and Affirm Religious Freedom.
The Exception reported that, “The Committees’ members voted as follows: 11 ought to pass, 2 ought not to pass, and 1 ought to pass as amended, which would send the bill out to a referendum.”
They concluded with, “The voting had its share of drama, with one protester interrupting the proceedings, according to the Maine Women’s Lobby, a nonprofit that had been live-blogging the vote.”
As you can imagine, our highlight here, isn’t the disruptive protester, but rather the reach of live blogging’s arm. So keep up the good work Tweeters. Tweet loud, and long, for they are listening.
