Go Sarah, Go Sarah!

See All: Maine Women's Policy Center|Sarah Standiford|Uncategorized

20 Jun 2009

In a recent publication of the Maine Women’s Fund, our fearless leader, Sarah – and the work she directs at the Maine Women’s Policy Center – was highlighted.

Check out what they had to say:

“Sarah Standiford is changing Maine. As executive director of the Maine Women’s Policy Center and its sister organization, the Maine Women’s Lobby, Standiford and her staff work tirelessly to make life better for women and girls statewide. They employ a twofold approach: enacting ground-breaking public policy to improve women’s lives, and empowering women to create change in their own communities. “We don’t simply advocate for women and girls. We also teach them to advocate for themselves through local and legislative action,” explains Standiford. Read more about how the Maine Women’s Policy Center is working toward prosperity for all.”

This is a great summary of the incredibly important work of the MWL and MWPC, and of course wonderful recognition of Sarah’s unparalleled leadership!
