Tabor II: a BAD Idea in 2006, a WORSE Idea Now

See All: Uncategorized

TABOR II is the same TABOR we rejected three years ago. It was a bad idea then and it’s an even worse idea now.

Maine voters rejected TABOR in 2006 when our economy was stronger. National anti-government groups are back pushing this bad idea. Don’t be fooled. In the middle of an economic crisis, this proposal is risky and makes even less sense now than it did when we voted it down three years ago.

TABOR II will…

  • Create uncertainty in already uncertain times
  • Slow job growth
  • Weaken Maine schools, heath care, and public safety
  • Delay economic recovery

Maine can’t afford to compromise our economy, our communities and our children’s futures by enacting a failed program like TABOR.

Do you want this to happen to Maine?
