These Girls are bound to ROCK THE HOUSE…and SENATE!

See All: Maine State House|Paid sick days|Women's Leadership

17 Mar 2010

Ever had a day where you had so much going on you weren’t sure how you would ever get it all done in the limited hours of day light? Well,  let’s just say that tomorrowGirls Day 2009 010 is one of those days for our team over here at the Maine Women’s Lobby and Policy Center. Oh, but what a day it will be! With 100 girls taking over the State House as part of the Maine Women’s Policy Center’s annual Girls Day at the State House and the labor committee voting on the Maine Women’s Lobby priority legislation: L.D. 1665 – let’s just say things will be busy, very busy, but they couldn’t be more exciting!

Our super-hero lobbyist, Laura Harper, will be exceptionally busy running between girls day and the labor committee, Laura will be assisting our 100 girls as well as talking with members of the labor committee and leadership about L.D. 1665 – if you wanted to help our lobbyist right from home, you could email The Governor to ask for his support on L.D. 1665, the grass roots support will really help Laura carry the case for women and families!
