Leadership Development Programs The Maine Women's Policy Center believes that policy solutions cannot exist independently of women occupying positions of power.
Our grassroots, leadership, and development activities help promote the empowerment, advancement, and full participation of women and girls in society.
We work to change the landscape for women and girls. Get involved! Contact us to learn how to participate.
The Women's Leadership Forum - This program is held every two years to encourage women to actively participate in civic leadership opportunities and sharpen their leadership skills.
Girls' Day at the State House - When one hundred eighth grade girls descend on the State House for a day of hands-on involvement with Maine government, it is the time for Girls' Day at the State House. Our yearly program helps girls learn how to make an impact in their community.
Women's Leadership Action Coalition - The Women's Leadership Action Coalition brings together over twenty organizations working toward improving the social, economic and political status of women and their families. WLAC provides a formal venue for women's groups from across the state to network, strategize, share expertise and discuss current and pending policies relevant to their interests.
