Eliza Townsend, Executive Director

Eliza Townsend is the Executive Director of the Maine Women’s Lobby and the Maine Women’s Policy Center.  Eliza brings extensive professional experience to the organizations, along with a strong track record of working collaboratively with a wide range of people. Eliza served eight years in the Maine House of Representatives before moving from public service into the non-profit sector by becoming the first Executive Director of the Maine League of Conservation Voters & Maine Conservation Voters Education Fund. Laura H. Harper, Director of Public Policy

Laura H. Harper joined the Maine Women's Lobby and the Maine Women's Policy Center as Director of Public Policy in November 2006. She directs the legislative agenda for the Maine Women's Lobby in partnership with the Legislative Committee. Among policies she's lobbied for in Augusta are paid sick days, protection from discrimination for family caregivers, marriage equality, comprehensive chemical policy reform, expansions to family medical leave, and increases to the minimum wage. Charlotte Warren, Associate Director

Charlotte Warren serves as Associate Director of the Maine Women's Lobby and the Maine Women's Policy Center. Her responsibilities include planning and conducting membership outreach and communications, managing press work, directing online communications, and overseeing the organizations' grassroots, education, and research operations. Charlotte is the Mayor of Hallowell, Maine, a seat she was elected to in November 2009, after serving as a City Councilor for eight years, including as City Council President for two years. Kim Fleming, Development Manager

Kim Fleming joined the Maine Women's Lobby and the Maine Women's Policy Center in February of 2009. Kim brings with her over nine years of experience in the nonprofit development arena - where she specialized in membership recruitment, donor outreach, database programming, community engagement, fundraising, marketing, and research. Janet Pierce, Administrative Assistant

Janet brings three decades of experience to her position as Administrative Assistant for the Maine Women’s Policy Center and Maine Women’s Lobby. She retired in 2002 from a Personnel Officer position, having occupied several different classifications during her 35 tenure in state government. (More...)

Lillian Pease, Volunteer

Lillian Pease has been a dedicated volunteer since 1994. She is a former Board member and currently serves on the Board's Legislative Committee.(More...)
