Maine Women’s Lobby Education Fund
Civic Education for an Equitable Future
The Maine Women’s Lobby Education Fund helps Maine people develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage in feminist, anti-oppression-based public policy advocacy and civic life.
Our programming focuses on community building and community-based data and policy analysis to increase knowledge, skills, and opportunities for citizens to engage in public policy change. Our programs include:
Publishing the biennial Roadmap for Gender Justice, which looks at the key trends and forces affecting gender equity - and the policy solutions that will drive real change to achieve equality.
Convening Maine’s Gender Justice Summit. The biennial Summit brings people together to address the most pressing issue impacting gender equity in the moment.
Leadership development, like the annual Girls' Day at the Statehouse, which has been held every year since 1996!
Education, information, and connection. We gather community conversations to dream of a more feminist future for Maine people, and to help create the change to make those dreams a reality.
