FAQ

Parking is at 7 Hanson Road, around the corner from the farmstand entrance.

During the evening, you are encouraged to walk through the farm and visit the different flower plots.

Please email Brook at brook@mainewomen.org to talk through any mobility concerns you may have for this event. There is a small step into the open barn nearby, as well as steps to the bathrooms. The grass is uneven in some places and there is a short walk from the parking lot.

We ask that if you are not feeling well to stay home. We will provide masks and hand sanitizer. Before attending, if you think you have been exposed or suspect you may be getting sick, we encourage you to test for COVID-19 with an at-home test kit or a PCR test. Please email Brook at brook@mainewomen.org if you require any assistance in accessing tests.

Party Opens - 5:30 - Enjoy snacks and meeting with friends. Reminder: Parking is at 7 Hanson Rd. and all guests should check in with registration upon arrival. Don’t forget to make a name tag!

Stacy Brenner & Welcome to Broadturn Farm - 6:15 - We will begin with a word from Stacy Brenner of Broadturn Farm about the space in which we have gathered.

Maine Women’s Lobby on Full Moon, Flowers, & Feminists - 6:18 - We will hear from Destie Hohman Sprague, the Executive Director of the Maine Women’s Lobby and MWL Education Fund about our work.

Awards - 6:20 - We will honor community partners and champions of important work in the state who go above and beyond for gender equity.

Raising the Roof & Raising Support - 6:35 - Help support our work! Consider a giving a gift, becoming a monthly sustainer, throwing a party with us, or volunteering.

Closing Remarks and Acknowledgements - 6:45 - We thank our sponsors and friends for all their work, time, and commitment to the work.

It can be hot on July evenings! And humid! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. Many people will be dressed casually – you will see everything from blazers to jeans to summer sundresses at our event!

This is an all ages event, and kids are welcome! There will be soft drinks and activities available.
