This brief was developed by the Cutler Institute of Health and Social Policy, through a partnership between the Maine Women’s Lobby, the Maine Council on Aging, and the Maine Health Access Foundation. Racial Disparities in Prenatal Access in Maine
In 2021, the Maine Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous, and Tribal Populations was directed to conduct a study on disparities in access to prenatal care in Maine. The Commission contracted with MWL Education Fund to convene a steering committee, work with the Cutler Institute of Health Policy at the Muskie School of Public Health, and manage the creation of this report on behalf of and in partnership with the Commission.
