2025 Gender Justice Summit: Envisioning Our Shared Power

  • Governor Hill Mansion, Augusta (map)

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Gender Justice Summit, a biennial conference that seeks to address the most pressing issue impacting gender equity in the moment. Join us on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Governor Hill Mansion in Augusta for day of learning, community and envisioning a better, more just future.

This year our program is Envisioning Our Shared Power: a look at how anger can help harness power, and joy can sustain us in taking action. We're taking a look at the role of anger and other emotions in cultivating individual and collective power; building bigger and broader teams to harness power at all levels and learning how joy can sustain action. We’re all angry, scared, sad, frustrated and overwhelmed by the current system - how do we turn those powerful emotions into useful, productive and changemaking action?

We're especially excited to welcome our keynote speaker, Rebecca Traister, author of bestselling books including “Good and Mad: The Revolutionary Power of Women’s Anger.”

A full schedule of workshops and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks, and registration will open very soon as well. For more information, visit mainewomenssummit.org, or visit our link in the comments.
